Meet Our Founder
MCW, Fashion Designer & Stylist
As a US Military Veteran's widow, mother of two, and entrepreneur, I've turned my passion into a thriving career. My journey began in 2014 with a $20 thrift store machine, creating African print skirts that quickly gained popularity across the US. Today, my designs have graced magazines , billboards in Times Square, and runways from New York Fashion Week to the Bahamas.
I've had the privilege of designing for notable clients like Melba Moore, Cynthia Bailey, Beverly Crawford, and Dorian, jewelry designer for the Black Panther movie. My work has been featured in numerous fashion shows, including FTMFashionweek NC VA NYC ,Doral Fashionweek Miami FL , Victoria Henley of America Next Top Model Season19 Magnifique Spring Fashionshow Pigeon Forge Tennessee and Jacksonville FL Pageant and Magnifique Fashionshow,
Miss Black America Pageant Wardrobe stylist Philadelphia and Bahamas.
Awards and accolades include the Farbe Magazine 2 x winner Designer of the year. Delta Theta Sorority Community Award, Lifetime Achievement Award from She Exist Magazine, and a current nominee for the ACHI Award Atlanta Ga.
Through my designs, I've found solace and purpose, especially during difficult times, including the recent loss of my husband. Sewing, designing, and styling have been my lifeline, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my gift with the world.
MCW Original is more than just a fashion brand - it's a symbol of resilience, determination, and the power of creativity."
